One of the best ways to get to London, for your holiday in the English capital, is by plane. London is served by five international airports. The largest and most important is Heathrow, to the west of the city, which has connections to all world capitals, followed by Gatwick to the south.
Heathrow International airport, the largest in the UK, is located 25 kilometres from central London and has five terminals. The second largest airport, Gatwick, is 50 kilometres south of London.
Stansted airport, 60 kilometres north of the city, is served by several low cost airlines, as is Luton airport, about 50 kilometres northwest of London.
The other ways to get to London are by bus or by train.
